Arkholme Village Hall is a spacious modern building with a range of versatile spaces that can accommodate a variety of different uses. It includes all the facilities you would expect from a contemporary public building and is fully accessible.
The building can accommodate up to 135 seated for a meal (12 tables of 10 and a top table of up to 15); and up to 180 for a party or function.
The main public internal spaces comprise the main hall, committee room and foyer.
We have internal doors that automatically hold themselves open and then close automatically when the fire alarm sounds. Do not prop doors open under any circumstances. Refer to our Customer Reference Guide for how to reset the doors if they aren't staying open.
Main hall
The main hall is spacious with a spectacular high vaulted ceiling. The wooden floored area is approx 15 x 8m. To one side is a carpeted, conservatory area 15 x 3m affording impressive views across the Lune Valley.
Committee room
The carpeted committee room is approx 7.5 x 5m and offers an additional useful space. With access from the foyer, kitchen and via double doors through to the main hall, it is an ideal space from which to serve a buffet, as a 'break out' room, or for separate small meetings. The room can comfortably seat up to 25 in boardroom layout.
Foyer
The spacious stone floored foyer, approx 10 x 6.5m wide, provides additional space in which to welcome your guests. The comfortable seating and coffee tables make it an excellent 'break out' space or a relaxing space for more informal meetings.
Licenced bar
The well stocked bar opens onto one end of the main hall conveniently situated to offer a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to your guests. We are very please to be working in partnership with 'The Little Barn Bar' to provide you and your guests a very warm welcome at the bar. The maximum bar opening hours are 19.00 to 23.00 Monday to Thursday, 19.00 to 23.30 Friday, 12.30 to 23.30 Saturday and 12.30 to 23.00 Sunday. If you are using the bar service for your event a £300 surcharge will be taken with your booking. This will be fully refundable as long as you do not bring in any alcohol of your own (you will not receive your £300 surcharge refund if you disregard this condition). We are sorry that we have had to bring in this surcharge due to repeated breaking of our terms and conditions.
Kitchen
Our large catering standard kitchen is directly accessible by vehicle at the rear of the building
Playing field and grounds
There is a well tended lawn area to the rear and side of the building with hanging baskets and planters during the spring and summer. Several benches provide outside seating space. The adjoining playing field is accessible via a gate from the lawned area.
